Create a living legacy of biodiversity for all
Our park faces a serious threat of being overwhelmed by invasive plants. Although many hours are spent removing invasive plants and planting a diversity of Indigenous plants, we are at risk of losing ground.
But the story of Everett Crowley Park is one of healing nature. While its painful past meant the loss of a lush ravine, a salmon-bearing creek, together, we will transform this site into biologically diverse habitats for all to enjoy.
As a subcommittee of the Champlain Heights Community Association, our work as the Everett Crowley Park Committee creates a living legacy for biodiversity by bringing people together to care for the land. Together, we ensure that Everett Crowley Park remains a place where future generations can recharge, learn, and connect with both nature and their community.

Community Stewardship Basecamp
We plan to create a lasting home for stewardship in Everett Crowley Park. This accessible community hub will securely house the tools needed to care for the park while providing a welcoming gathering place. By bringing the tools to the trees, we will spend less time transporting equipment and more time supporting biodiversity. The Champlain Heights Community Association, of which ECPC’s is a committee, is spearheading this project with enthusiastic support from the Vancouver Park Board. With donations from the community, support from CHCA, and grants, we are working to make this vision a reality.

Healing Habitats
Removing aggressive invasive plants and enhancing habitats. Coordinating volunteer stewards to remove invasives and replanting Indigenous plants. Using best practices by collaborating with the Vancouver Park Board, universities, and experts in the field.
Connecting to Nature
Offering a diversity of inclusive nature programs, including guided walks, workshops, and events like Earth Fest. We strive to make the park a place of continuous learning, fostering a deeper connection between people and nature.
