Spend your Saturday with us stewarding the park and weaving a beautiful basket 🌱
During this event, we will spend the first half of the session removing invasive English ivy. Joe Boyd will then guide us through how to weave that ivy into a basket! This is a great way to learn how to put invasive species to use! 🌿

TODAY is World Environment Day and the final day to contribute to the Community Stewardship Basecamp fundraiser!
So far, more than 25 Everett Crowley Park supporters have contributed over $2434.65 in support of creating a permanent stewardship and community hub in the heart of the park.
Together, we can help build infrastructure that will support habitat restoration, community programming, accessibility, and long-term stewardship for years to come.
If you’ve been thinking about contributing, today is the day to take meaningful local action for the environment and help us reach our $5,000 community goal!

Just 48 hours left until our Community Stewardship Basecamp fundraiser deadline on World Environment Day!
For more than 40 years, Everett Crowley Park’s recovery has been powered by community stewardship. Now we have the opportunity to create something lasting: a permanent in-park hub that supports stewardship work, accessibility, and environmental programming for years to come.
This project will help transform a refurbished shipping container into a stewardship basecamp in the heart of the park — creating a secure home for tools, shade structures, seating, and community resources that support both ecological restoration and inclusive participation.
Every contribution helps move this project closer to reality.
Please donate today and help us take the next leap forward in the park’s recovery.

Just more than one week left for the community to help create the Community Stewardship Basecamp in Everett Crowley Park!
What could a home for stewardship and community look like in the park?
We’re working to transform a simple shipping container into a solar-powered, in-park hub for stewardship equipment and community programming. By bringing the tools to the trees, volunteers can spend less time hauling equipment and more time restoring habitat, removing invasive species, and caring for the land.
Our community goal is to raise $5,000 by World Environment Day on June 5.
Learn more about the project and how contributions are handled on our donation page.

Happy Earth Day!
Thank you for your hard work in making Everett Park the biodiverse hotspot it is today!
While you’ve read about the ongoing critical hands-on stewardship work, there is a challenge behind the scenes that you may not know about. We often lose a quarter of our stewardship time hauling gear back and forth from the community centre to the park, so I wanted you to know how we plan to permanently bring the tools to the trees.
Recently an exciting opportunity has arisen for the Champlain Heights Community Association to create a storage facility in Everett Crowley Park itself, we are making plans to transform a simple shipping container into a secure, custom-built, solar-powered stewardship hub for the heart of the park. We are going to build a Community Stewardship Basecamp!
Donate today to help make this community hub a reality.

A huge thank you to Stephanie, our website design volunteer, for putting together this map of the park! Stephanie is a huge leader of our new website and has put many of the pages together to help share ECPC’s work!
This is proof that not all environmental stewards are found in the park, our volunteers who work behind the scenes really help to keep ECPC thriving! Do you have skills to offer? Reach out to us at ecpcstewards@gmail.com!
Who is excited about spring migration?!! We know our bird volunteers are because we had a big turn out for our April Bird Survey last weekend!
Our surveys run every month, and we now have over a year’s worth of data on the bird species using our stewardship areas.
A highlight this month was seeing the Barred owl (swipe to see if you can spot it!).
Want to learn more about the birds that have just arrived from their long migration? Join our bird walk this Sunday!
